Senior vice president at JLL's hotel & hospitality division, Dan O'Connor, is quoting a guide price in excess of €9m for the four-star McWilliam Park Hotel in Co Mayo.

Located on the Kilcoman Road in the townland of Boherduff, Claremorris, the hotel is being offered for sale with freehold title and the benefit of full vacant possession. Built by developers JJ Rhatigan, the McWilliam Park Hotel opened for business in 2006. Since then, it has established an excellent reputation based on a well-invested full service offering.

The premises comprises 103 guestrooms, Kavanagh's Bar, John Gray's Restaurant, the 600-person McWilliam Park Suite, four additional meeting rooms, a full leisure centre with 18-metre swimming pool and the Chique Spa.

The centrepiece of the McWilliam Park Hotel is its extensive conferencing and banqueting offering, with the hotel regularly hosting major concerts, social dancing and events, including some of the best country and cabaret performers from across the globe throughout the year. The hotel is affectionately dubbed "The Nashville of the West".

With provincial Irish hotel market RevPAR growing by 11pc last year, Dan O'Connor says "the McWilliam Park is a rare opportunity for hotel investors and operators to acquire one of Co Mayo's most dominant and high-quality hotels".
