Former Electrolux facility sold for €4.5m
The former Dublin headquarter facility of Electrolux has been sold for a sum in the region of €4.5m to a private purchaser. The price paid represents a considerable premium of 12.5pc on the €4m guide price.
While selling agent, Jarlath Lynn of CBRE's industrial and logistics division declined to make any comment on the price achieved for the property, he confirmed its sale, describing it as an "excellent result for the client". Lynn added that the transaction underlined the continued strong interest in the industrial sector. The purchaser of the property was represented by industrial and logistics specialists, William Harvey & Co.
The Former Electrolux facility is arguably the most recognisable building on the Naas Road. The property extends to 8,559 sq m (92,130 sq ft) and is situated on a high-profile site of approximately 4.70 acres (1.9 hectares).
Notable occupiers in the immediate area include Woodies, Homebase, Atlantic Homecare, BMW, McDonalds and FBD Group.
The former Electrolux building fronts on to the Naas Road and is accessed via the Robinhood Road off Long Mile Road.
The Naas Road (N7) links directly to the M50 motorway by means of a full interchange, making the property easily accessible to all of the main national routes leading to and from Dublin city. In terms of public transport, the property is located within a short walking distance from the Kylemore Luas stop, allowing easy access to Dublin city centre.
