Luxury retailer Brown Thomas is looking to double the size of its BT2 outlet in Dundrum after entering into talks with the shopping centre's new owners, Hammerson.

According to a report in The Irish Times, Brown Thomas is not alone in looking to expand its footprint at one of Ireland's favourite retail destinations.

River Island and H&M are also said to be in discussion with Hammerson and Allianze Real Estate who took control of Dundrum last Friday.

The BT2 store in Dundrum spans 9,000 sq ft with Brown Thomas looking to increase that to 18,000 sq ft.

The talks come ahead of a website launch that will set back the retailer by around €2m.
