BARRY'S Hotel has been sold. CBRE brought the hotel to the market on behalf of receiver Declan Taite with a guide price of €900,000 earlier this year.

John Hughes CBRE Hotels commented: "Barry's Hotel comprises two, four-storey over basement extended Georgian buildings of approximately 2,044sqm (22,000 sq ft).

"The property incorporates a 32 ensuite bedroom hotel with ground floor bar and function facilities".

The popular hotel, which has been a home from home for GAA fans on the way to Croke Park is located on North Great Denmark Street, close to Parnell Square in the north inner city.

CBRE say there is "excellent" public transport close to the hotel including the Luas Red Line which is situated approximately 1km south of the hotel at Abbey Street.

Connolly Station, which is also nearby, provides Dart and train services throughout Dublin and Ireland.

There are numerous bus routes operating along nearby O'Connell Street including the Aircoach to Dublin Airport.
