A prime, mixed-use development site on Hebron Road, Kilkenny City, is being offered for sale by Bannon with a guide price of €650,000.

The 3.4-acre site has extensive frontage to the N77 and is located 100 metres from the Hebron Road roundabout, one of the main gateways to Kilkenny City. A new McDonald's Drive-thru restaurant that opened in 2014 is a few metres north of the site.

For sale on the instructions of receiver Ken Fennell of Deloitte, the site is located just 1km from the centre of Kilkenny City and has excellent access to the N10, which connects to the M9 (Dublin to Waterford motorway).

The property is zoned 'Mixed Use' under the Kilkenny City and Environs Development Plan 2014-2020. This allows for a wide variety of uses including but not limited to nursing home, medical, offices, hotel, discount food store and petrol station.

Leanne Kane of Bannon believes the lands present buyers with an opportunity to develop a mixed use development in a prime city centre location.

She says: "The site represents a good development opportunity with a wide range of uses permitted under the current zoning."
