50 acres beside Kildare Village retail for €3.05m
Joint agents Lisney and Conway Auctioneers have brought a 50-acre landholding strategically located at junction 13 of the M7 motorway in Kildare to the market.
The land is being offered for sale in two lots with the former comprising of 5.8 acres at Grey Abbey being offered at a guide price of €425,000 and the latter consisting of 44 acres with frontage on to the Nurney and Monasterevin Roads guiding €2.6m.
The lands are zoned under the Kildare Town Local Area Plan 2012 - 2018.
Lot 1 is zoned for industrial and warehouse use. The land also has the benefit of full planning permission for a drive-thru, hotel, retail units and offices. The planning expires in 2017.
Lot 2 is zoned for enterprise and employment. This objective is to facilitate an appropriate mix of employment uses with a high-quality, campus-type development including office-based industry, enterprise and incubator units, business, science and technology and institutional use.
The landholding's potential is highlighted, according to the selling agents, by what they term the "staggering" three million shoppers per year recorded at the nearby Kildare Village retail outlet.
Joint selling agents John Conway and Cathal Daughton said: "Having jointly sold over 350 acres of development land in the Kildare area over the past three years, and with the strong result we achieved earlier in the year with the sale of Magee Barracks, we expect strong demand from a variety of potential bidders."
The landholding is being offered for sale by Public Auction at 3.00pm on Thursday, November 3, at the Keadeen Hotel in Newbridge, Co. Kildare.
