British Prime Minister Theresa May is due to meet European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier today as they seek to outline a deal to pave the way for a breakthrough at this month's EU summit.

Euro-area finance ministers also meet today to discuss the future of the Euro area.

After a turbulent week in Irish politics, the Department of Finance is due to release Exchequer returns today. Particular attention will be on tax receipts, especially self-employed and corporation tax receipts.

Tomorrow sees unemployment figures for November published by the Central Statistics Office (CSO), which will be followed by the release of the live register figures on Thursday.

In a busy week for data from the CSO, the industrial production and turnover numbers for October and the monthly services index are also released tomorrow.

On Friday, the CSO will release data on the number of vehicles licensed for the first time in November. Last month's figures showed a 10.4pc fall in the number of new cars licensed for the first 10 months of the year.
