Brexit to dominate business agenda

Brexit will dominate the agenda this week, starting today, when European Union chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier briefs European affairs ministers on the current status of talks with the UK.

Tomorrow, UK Prime Minister Theresa May is set to meet her cabinet to discuss plans for a post-Brexit customs partnership.

In a busy week for European leaders, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini will speak today on a 'Future of EU Foreign Security' panel in Brussels. Senior officials from eurozone finance ministries will today discuss the current Greek bailout review and a possible deal on the country's debt.

Tomorrow, the IMF will release its regional economic outlook for Europe, covering recent developments, forecasts and risks to the economy.

Then on Friday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel is due in Russia to meet with President Vladimir Putin.

At home, Permanent TSB and Paddy Power Betfair are among companies holding AGMs this week.

The Central Statistics Office (CSO) will today release February trade statistics,with imports and exports data for March due on Wednesday.
