Brexit will continue to dominate the agenda this week as envoys from the EU 27 meet in Brussels tomorrow to discuss the state of play in the latest negotiations.

Also tomorrow, in the US, Google will hold its annual I/O developer conference focused on the next generation of technology. The company is expected to present new Android software products at the event in California.

Closer to home, the residential property price index for March is due on Wednesday and is again expected to show double-digit price increases. Irish consumer confidence, consumer prices and car sales data are also due this week.

The Bank of England will make a policy decision on Thursday. An interest rate increase, recently regarded as almost certain, is now unlikely after a series of weak economic numbers.

At home, Central Bank governor Philip Lane, deputy governor Ed Sibley and director general Derville Rowland will appear before Oireachtas Finance Committee on Thursday, where the ongoing tracker mortgage scandal is the main agenda item.

Siemens, 21st Century Fox, Marriott, Toyota, and Nissan are among many companies announcing earnings this week.
