Boston Scientific to create 45 jobs in Galway

Boston Scientific has announced plans to create 45 high-skilled jobs at its Galway plant over the next five years.

The US medical devices firm says the jobs will come on stream due to a €90m investment in research and development.

It already employs 3,000 people at the Ballybrit plant, which has been operating for 15 years.

Boston Scientific says it chose Galway due to support from the Government and the IDA, as well as the quality of the Irish workforce.
