Best buy: Finding a high chair for your little darling
Lunchtime with a toddler can be like feeding time at the zoo, except it's noisier and messier. Finding a high chair that suits your little darling – and fits in with your decor at home – can often be just as much hard work. There are hundreds of brands and designs on the market, in dozens of colours and materials
CHICCO JAZZY €67
THIS traditional-style folding high chair is lightweight but stable, easy to clean, and folds away neatly. Unfortunately it's quite large when in use.
Getting your toddler in, buckled up, and out again is simple as it has a removable tray – which can also be adjusted as the child grows up – and a reclining backrest.
It might not be the fanciest high chair on the market to look at, but for one of the cheapest it's definitely worth considering.
COSATTO 3SIXTI2 CIRCLE €210
JUST think of the fun you'll have with a swivelling seat that promises "high chair heaven".
Seriously though, the idea behind the 360 is that the seat can click in to six positions so baby can be turned to see you wherever you are in a room. It has a good reclining backrest and height-adjustable seat and is sturdy, but the chair itself is bulky and difficult to move and store as it doesn't fold.
The seat itself is more suitable for younger babies than the over twos.
BLOOM FRESCO CHROME €446
THIS contemporary high-end high chair is almost too precious to put a baby in.
While expensive, it's definitely the most stylish and comes in an array of frame finishes with seat pad colours to match your designer home.
Luckily, it's also safe for baby and suitable from birth to three.
It swivels 360 degrees, has three recline positions for baby to sleep, rest and feed, and its height can be adjusted.
While bulky and hard to store, I doubt you'd be hiding this one away.
