Two cruise passengers died when their liner was hit by a freak wave off the Mediterranean coast of France.
The Cypriot-owned Louis Majesty, carrying nearly 2,000 people, was hit by the 26-foot wave which smashed windshields.
Another six people suffered minor injuries.
The accident happened near the port of Marseilles as the ship was sailing from Barcelona to Genoa in Italy with 1,350 passengers and 580 crew.
The victims have been identified only as a German and an Italian man.
A Louis Cruise Lines spokesman said the ship was hit by three "abnormally high" waves that broke glass windshields in the forward section.
The cruise ship is heading back to Barcelona.
