Teenage boy killed in Cork car crash
A teenage boy has died from the injuries he suffered in a road traffic collision in Cork.
The young man, in his late teens, died in a single vehicle crash on the N25 in Castleredmond, Midleton, Co Cork at approximately 1:20am.
He was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital for severe head injuries, from which he later died.
The road was closed amid an examination by Garda Forensic Collision investigators and local diversions have been lifted.
The Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will we arranged. A file will be prepared in accordance with the Coroners Act.
