Public urged to avoid Harold's Cross area due to electricity fault

Dublin Fire Brigade and the ESB are at the scene of an electricity supply fault in south Dublin.

The public is being urged to avoid the Harold's Cross area as sparks are flying due to the issue.

Over 300 customers are affected by the loss of supply and emergency crews are working to repair the fault.

It is estimated that power will be restored at midnight.

Dublin Fire Brigade said it will remain at the scene to "quickly fight any fire" that may be caused by the arcing."
