Man dies in motorcycle accident in Meath

A man has died in a motorcycle accident in Meath.

Garda attended the scene of the fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a car at Mulpheddar, in Clonard, at around 2pm on Wednesday.

The motorcyclist, a man in his early 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene and was removed to Navan Hospital where a post mortem is due to take place.

Forensic Collision Investigators attended the scene.

The road was closed with local diversions in place.
