Fees rise could be good for north's colleges, says UU senior staff member

The increase in registration fees for students here could be good news for northern universities, according to the pro-vice chancellor at the Magee campus of the University of Ulster.

Jim Allen said today that more students might opt to study in the north, and that he expected particular interest from students in Donegal wanting to study in Derry.

He said the possible influx of new students could help Magee's arguments for further expansion.
