Three men have been arrested following the seizure of herbal cannabis worth more than 1.96 million euro (£1.7 million).

The Garda said 98 kilograms of herbal cannabis was found in two crates at an industrial unit in Clondalkin, west Dublin, on Thursday as part of an operation targeting organised crime groups.

Three men, aged 32, 49 and 57, were arrested at the scene and taken into custody at Clondalkin and Ballyfermot garda stations.

In a follow-up search involving the PSNI in Northern Ireland, a woman was arrested after approximately 0.5 kilograms of cocaine with an estimated value of 35,000 euro (£31,100) was discovered.
