All of the lions and tigers that went missing after severe flooding swamped the zoo in Georgia's capital have been found dead.

One jaguar remains unaccounted for, but Tbilisi zoo staff say they have little hope that it survived.

The discovery of the last of the missing lions and tigers came as the waters receded, easing fears that some of the big cats are still wandering the hills of Tbilisi.

At least 15 people were killed and as many as 10 are still missing after an intense downpour on Sunday turned a stream that runs through the city into a raging torrent that destroyed houses and tore up roads.

Zoo spokeswoman Mziya Sharashidze said a total of eight lions, seven tigers and at least two jaguars were killed.
