GUNS are not always the weapons of choice in Texas. Dallas police are hunting a man who attacked a woman with a frozen armadillo.
He was going to sell the iced carcass as food to the woman before they got into an argument over price. He then he threw his food and weapon at the 57-year-old woman, who suffered bruises.
Mother's beer and cocaine shame
A MOTHER has pleaded guilty to charges that she forced her four-year-old son to drink beer and gave her 10-month-old daughter beer and cocaine.
Juliette Dunn (29) of Connecticut, pleaded guilty to risk of injury to a child. A companion, 33-year-old Lisa Jefferson, pleaded guilty to the same charges. Police say officers were waved down by a neighbour who complained that a woman was feeding children beer at a playground.
Danish woman killed in St Lucia
MASKED men fatally shot a Danish woman in front of her husband and two friends during a home invasion on the eastern Caribbean island of St Lucia.
Police spokesman Trevor Constantine said two armed intruders reportedly burst into the couple's home, demanding money only from the blonde-haired victim, Laila Norgaard Joseph (39) and then fatally shot her in the head before fleeing. No one else was injured.
Author divorcing wife of 18 years
CRIME novelist Elmore Leonard is divorcing his wife after 18 years of marriage, according to court records.
The 'Detroit News' reports that he and Christine Leonard split earlier this year and she filed for divorce in May.

Christopher Johnson was pronounced dead at 6.25pm after receiving a lethal injection.
