US lottery winner comes forward
One of the winners of the 636 million dollar (£388 million) Mega Millions prize has come forward, according to US lottery officials.
The winning ticket was sold at a Gateway Newsstand in the city's Buckhead area.
The winning numbers were: 8, 14, 17, 20, 39; Mega Ball 7.
The jackpot is the second largest lottery prize in US history.
It started its ascent on October 4. Lottery officials say 22 draws came and went without winners.
Lottery officials later identified the winner as Ira Curry, of Stone Mountain, which is east of Atlanta.
She bought one ticket and chose the numbers herself, using family birthdays and her family's lucky number, which is 7.
Georgia Lottery chief executive Debbie Alford said Ms Curry is in a state of shock and that she plans to take the lump sum payout of 123 million dollars (£75 million) after taxes.
