Train strike in Brussels causes chaos on European lines

A rail strike in the Belgian capital has paralysed much of the train traffic on domestic lines as well as international routes linking London, Paris and Amsterdam to Brussels.
The industrial action is targeting reforms of the public rail company which unions say will affect service for commuters and cut into income and social security of employees.
A partial rail strike in the centralised Belgian system can be felt throughout the country and beyond. Most trains on the Thalys line to Paris were cancelled and Eurostar from London was running a reduced schedule up to the Belgian border.
