The Who are heading to Las Vegas this summer for a groundbreaking residency at Caesars Palace.

Caesars Entertainment announced they will become the first rock band to take up residence at the hotel-casino's Colosseum since the venue opened in 2003.

The first run opens on July 29 with six shows up to August 11. Tickets go on sale on Friday at prices ranging from 76 dollars (£62) to 501 dollars (£410).

The Who have sold more than 100 million records since forming in 1964. They are members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and their hit albums include My Generation, Tommy and Quadrophenia.
