Teen murderer executed in Texas

The leader of a gang of Texas teenagers who raped and murdered two young girls 17 years ago has been executed.
Peter Cantu (35) was given a lethal injection in Huntsville Unit Prison as relatives of his victims, Jennifer Ertman and Elizabeth Pena, watched through a window a few feet away.
Man hid in library for two weeks
A homeless man lived in the basement of a New Jersey library for nearly two weeks.
Police discovered several books he had been reading and found the man had taken food from the staff room. He was charged with burglary and theft.
Gibson ex in court for custody battle

Willis lawsuits are dismissed
Duelling lawsuits between Bruce Willis and three film companies over a failed movie project have been dismissed.
The firms sued Willis for €3.2m last March, claiming he broke a directing contract. But Willis countersued for nearly €7m, saying the companies failed to show they had the money for the film project on time.
Chess champ not father -- DNA test
DNA tests have shown that chess genius Bobby Fischer was not the father of a nine-year-old girl from the Philippines.
The test result dismisses claims that Fischer had fathered Jinky Young, whose mother Marilyn said she had had a relationship with the chess champion. Fischer (64) died in Iceland in 2008.
Kayaker escapes shark attack
A man survived a close encounter with a shark off the California coast that left 18-inch bite marks on his kayak.
Adam Coca (45), who was fishing about 45 miles south of San Francisco, said a great white shark chewed on his overturned kayak before swimming away.
