Rolex hits out over Renzi comments

The CEO of Rolex Italia has taken Italy's premier to task for calling protesters who trashed central Milan during demonstrations against the Expo 2015 world fair "daddies' boys with Rolexes".
Gianpaolo Marini demanded "a statement of clarification" in a full-page letter published in six Italian dailies.
He noted that the poor quality of images showing a hooded protester supposedly sporting a Rolex made it "highly unlikely to infer a reliable identification of a Rolex, and even less so of an authentic Rolex".
Mr Renzi's statements, he said, had created an "unacceptable association of the Rolex image to the devastation in Milan and the world of subversive violence".
Anarchist vandals who infiltrated the anti-Expo protest smashed windows, torched cars and damaged traffic lights during last Friday's demonstrations.
