Police search for parents of toddler found wandering shops alone

Police are trying to trace the parents of a young boy who was found at a parade of shops.

The child, thought to be aged two or three, was discovered at the shops in The Gossamers, Watford, at around 1.20pm today.

Hertfordshire Police said the toddler's identity is not currently known. He is being looked after by officers.

He is described as being around 3ft tall and of slim build, with light tanned skin, dark brown eyes and short wavy brown hair. He is wearing a navy blue Thomas the Tank Engine tracksuit.

Members of the public who could help trace his parents are asked to call police using the non-emergency number 101 and quote incident reference number 587 of 1/1/2014.
