A Kentucky judge was outraged when a woman was denied the right to "clothing and feminine hygiene products" when she was brought to court.
This video shows District Court Judge Amber Wolf flabbergasted after the woman’s lawyer told her the inmate had been denied the basic human needs while behind bars for two or three days, according to People.
“Excuse me? This is outrageous. Is this for real?” Wolf said. “Am I in the Twilight Zone? What is happening?"
In the video the judge can be seen ringing the correction officials to see how this was allowed.
The woman was later brought clothes but corrections officials said the woman was wearing shorts under her long shirt.
“This is not normal,” Wolf said. “I’ve never seen it happen … This is completely inhumane and unacceptable. I’m sorry you had to go through this.”
The woman was arrested for not completing a diversion program following a 2014 shoplifting charge, according to KDRB Wolf released her from jail with a $100 (€89) fine instead of more jail time.
