Search launched for woman accused of beating and macing man for coughing
A search has been launched for a woman accused of beating up another passenger on a train for coughing.
NYPD claim that the suspect was waiting at the First Avenue train station on May 23 when she became involved in argument with a man (45) over his coughing.
When the Broolyn-bound train arrived shortly before 3.30am the pair boarded but the man alleges the female assaulted him and sprayed mace at him, before jumping on him and hitting him, according to police.
Police report that emergency workers men the train at the Bedford L stop and the victim was treated for injuries to his neck, eyes and knee.
The woman left the scene but is described as being Hispanic, about 30, 5-foot-6 and around 11 stone.
She has black braided and was wearing a black jacket, black-and-white jeans and black boots, she was also carrying an umbrella.
