US bans electronic devices on flights from eight majority-Muslim countries

Donald Trump’s administration has banned passengers on eight Middle Eastern countries from carrying large electronic devices in the cabin.

The new rule is expected to be announced on Tuesday and applies to eight countries, which includes Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates.

No American carriers are impacted by the ban, which applies to devices larger than a mobile phone.
