Man accused of killing son (5) last seen in Disneyland as 'revenge against wife for divorce'
Police in LA have charged a 35-year-old man on suspicion of the murder of his five-year-old son.
Aramazd Andressian Sr is suspected of killing his son Aramazd Jr in April. The child was last seen leaving Disneyland in Anaheim on April 21, the Los Angeles Daily New reported.
The next day his dad was discovered unconscious in a park near his car. He said he had taken prescription tablets and did not know where his son was.
The boy's body has bot been found.
His dad was first arrested on child endangerment charges before being released.
But last Friday he was arrested in Las Vegas where authorities allege he was preparing to flee the country.
It is the district attorney's case that he killed his son as an act of revenge against the boy's mother, Ana Estevez.
The estranged couple are currently in the process of getting a divorce and had been sharing custody of their son.
After her son's disappearances his heartbroken mother was searching for him while her estranged husband moved to Las Vegas.
An officer with the arrest, Joe Mendoza, said the arrest happened Friday because investigators believed Andressian Sr had been living in Las Vegas for 47 days, Mendoza said, and had made several efforts to change his appearance, including shaving his beard.
“If my son went missing, I’d be doing the same thing Ana as doing — handing out fliers, going out to search — not socializing in Vegas,” he said.
