No more Hassel for Hoff
Former 'Baywatch' actor David Hasselhoff claims he has officially changed his name after "wanting to drop the Hassel from my life for years."
In a bizarre YouTube video, the TV personality revealed he now wants to be formally known as David Hoff.
In it he said: "I've been wanting to drop the Hassel from my life for years.
"Now, I have made it official. David Hoff."
That was followed by a message on Twitter saying what a "massive relief" it was to get it off his chest.
The 63-year-old star, who showed off framed documents bearing his new surname, says he is feeling "great" thanks to his shortened name.
Meanwhile, his former 'Baywatch' co-star Pamela Anderson is in Ireland today and is among the guests joining Ray D'Arcy on his RTÉ1 show tonight for an exclusive interview about her life and career to date.
