No contest plea by Lohan over theft

A lawyer entered a no contest plea yesterday for Lindsay Lohan in the theft of a necklace.

The actress did not appear in court in the case involving a $2,500 (€1,700) necklace. Lohan (24) did not acknowledge guilt, but the court will log a conviction.

Burglars break in to prison for tools

Burglars broke into the grounds of a prison where they managed to make off with valuable equipment.

The thieves broke in through the fence at HMP Sudbury in Derbyshire before stealing metalwork tools used by inmates.

£20,000 for luxury Muslim clock

The company behind the world's most expensive clock has unveiled its latest creation -- the world's first luxury Muslim prayer clock.

Smith of Derby launched the prayer clock, which comes with a gold-leaf finish, and sells for £20,000 (€23,000).

The owner was able to track his truck's location in Colorado though the phone's GPS while updating the police.

Bristol Palin admits her recent change in appearance was due to a procedure -- but not plastic surgery.

The 20-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin told 'Us Weekly' that she underwent corrective jaw surgery in December. Her face now appears thinner, with higher cheekbones and an angular jaw.

Bust results in law to cover up boobs

Bare-breasted baristas will have to cover up after police discovered nudity and gambling at so-called lingerie cafes in a California suburb.

More than three dozen of the coffeehouses operate in Garden Grove, and some waitresses have been serving customers in the nude. The City Council has voted 4-0 to ban nudity, gambling and smoking in the sexy cafes.
