A graphic drone video of a derelict Syrian neighbourhood has emerged, showing unique images of a landscape ravaged by civil war .

It shows the havoc inflicted on the district of Jobar, with few of its buildings remaining intact.

 

Jobarb is a suburb lying to the east of Damascus, and has been occupied by rebels for several years.

The video, which has been viewed 133,000 times, depicts a ghost-like town containing the rubble of apartment blocks and houses, most containing huge craters.

Several structures have had their top floors blown away by bomb blasts.

A plume of black smoke fills the screen, as relentless air strikes are carried out by what appear to be Syrian warplanes.

Tanks can be seen conducting non-stop shelling on a residential street.

Syrian troops have been battling rebels since 2013.

The drone recording was carried out by war correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny.
