McColgan travelled to the region earlier this year to document the lives of Israelis and Palestinians affected by the ongoing conflict.

In the West Bank he met with families who live under constant threat of house demolition, as well as people affected by the Separation Wall that has been illegally constructed on Palestinian land. He also met with Israeli activists who campaign on behalf of Palestinian communities living under military occupation.

McColgan also travelled to Gaza where he met with people who lost family members during the 2014 Israeli invasion of the Strip.

‘This is Palestine’, an exhibition of his work, will be exhibited at Dublin’s Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA) from October 14th – 18th. The exhibition is being held in support of Trócaire’s work in the region.

The humanitarian agency is launching a new project in Gaza aimed at supporting women and is looking to raise €100,000 to support the project. See trocaire.org/thisispalestine for more information.
