David Conachy travelled to the Lebanon with Juliette Lang of World Vision and saw firsthand the conditions in which 800,000 Syrian refugees are living in.
He spoke with one man Hajj Khater who used “to play with money” in his previous life and had to sell his entire life’s worth in order to survive before escaping over the border.
This same man was shot at five times to his abdomen and David met with his family and talked about the abundant life they left behind.
Over 800,000 people are now living in tents as temperatures of minus five are on the way and the refugees of protecting their families from the cold. Young children affected by the war were once placid and gentle but now display aggressive, violent behaviour.
