Yehya Taha died in a Ramallah hospital of bullet wounds to the head, said health ministry spokesman Mohammed Awawdeh.

Palestinian media said Mr Taha died following an army raid of the village of Qattana.

Since mid-September, 19 Israelis have died in Palestinian attacks, mostly stabbings and shootings. At least 92 Palestinians have died, including 58 said by Israel to be attackers. The others died in clashes with Israeli forces.

Israel says the unrest stems from incitement by Palestinians. The Palestinians say it is rooted in frustrations over Israel's long occupation. Palestinians accuse Israel of using excessive force in suppressing violence.
