Mystery of Gaddafi son’s death in custody after he too was captured alive

PICTURES have emerged of Gadaffi’s loyal son Mutassim in what appears to be a hospital setting after his capture in Sirte yesterday.

He is seen drinking a bottle of water in one image and smoking a cigarette in another.



However within a short period of time he is pictured with gunshot wounds to his chest and throat dying on a couch.



Then there is an image of his corpse.



It appeared today that he had been executed by the rebels like his father and not killed in the drain outside Sirte as originally claimed.



Mutassim tried to organise a coup against his father some years ago and had to flee to Egypt.



However he was forgiven by Gadaffi and became his national security adviser. He stayed with him until the end.
