Four men charged with the murder of a British tourist in St Lucia have appeared in court.
The young men covered their faces as they entered the courtroom on Friday to respond to charges of murder and robbery over the death of 62-year-old Roger Pratt on January 17. The St Lucia citizens did not speak and were not required to enter a plea.
The suspects are scheduled to appear in court again on February 4.
An autopsy found that Mr Pratt died from asphyxia as a result of being beaten. His wife, Margaret Pratt, also was beaten and was treated at a hospital for cuts and bruises.
Police said the suspects boarded the Pratts' yacht anchored just south of the island and demanded money and other items before assaulting the couple.
