London-bound flight grounded after wing hits fence at New York airport
A London-bound plane about to take off from New York's Kennedy Airport has been grounded after its wing hit a fence.
Authorities say the incident happened at 8.30am local time as Virgin Atlantic Flight 26 was being pushed back from the gate by a tug.
Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said there were no injuries. Port Authority spokesman Steve Coleman said the 276 people on board have been bused back to the terminal.
A photo posted by a passenger on Twitter shows the plane's right wing tip pushed up against the fence.
Flight 26 was scheduled to depart for London at 8.15am.
