US secretary of state Hillary Clinton has returned to work just over a week after she was admitted to hospital with a blood clot in her head.
The US State Department released a schedule which has Mrs Clinton (65) meeting with assistant secretaries. The most significant items on her agenda are meetings in Washington on Thursday and Friday with visiting Afghan president Hamid Karzai.
Mrs Clinton, who is expected to resign soon, was admitted to New York-Presbyterian Hospital on December 30 after doctors found the clot while following up on a concussion she suffered earlier in December.
