In brief: Harry Potter star quits the books

'Harry Potter' star Emma Watson is taking a break from student life to focus on her film career. The actress -- Hermione Granger in the Potter films -- joined Brown University in September 2009, initially to study literature.

Watson (20) announced that combining campus life with her movie roles had become a "little impossible".

Allen reveals her eating disorder

Lily Allen has admitted that she fought an eating disorder at the height of her fame. The singer said there was a point when she used to make herself sick after meals.

She also talks about losing her unborn baby last year in a Channel 4 documentary to be broadcast next week.

Sugababe strips for Miss Ultimo

Sugababes star Jade Ewen has stripped to her underwear to promote a new lingerie range. The singer modelled grey-and-white versions of the "everyday" collection for undies firm Miss Ultimo.

Ewen said the range was "stylish, simple and wearable".

Church 'covered up sexual abuse'

A man suing the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia said clergy covered up sexual assault allegations against a priest who molested him in the 1990s.

Plaintiff Phil Gaughan said he was assaulted from age 14 to 17 at Our Lady of Calvary church in north-east Philadelphia.

Man sells boulder that fell on home

A New Zealand man whose home was smashed by a rock the size of a car in last month's devastating Christchurch earthquake has sold the boulder online.

Phil Johnson said the 30-tonne lump of stone sold for more than NZ$60,000 (€32,000).

Fans spellbound by 'magic turtle'

Thousands of people crowded around a lake in the Vietnamese capital to see rescuers pull out a rare turtle for medical treatment.

Near panic was sparked after photos showed the 440lb turtle surfacing. The turtle is a famous character in Vietnamese folklore, and some believe it is magical.
