Woman claims to be Sir Jimmy Savile's love child
Georgina Ray, a 40-year-old divorcee from Staffordshire, has claimed she is Sir Jimmy Savile's secret love child.
Mrs Ray, who bears resemblance to Sir Jimmy - who died in October aged 84 - says she is the result of a brief fling her cafe waitress mother had with the late television and radio presenter.
She is seeking a DNA test, which she is confident will prove she is the star's daughter and has contacted lawyers looking after his estate.
A friend of Mrs Ray told The Sun: "Georgina is not a gold digger. She just wants closure that the man she has considered to be her father all these years actually is."
Mrs Ray has told friends she was born after her mother Christine, now 59, had a two-week fling with the DJ in 1970 when she was 19.
The pair are said to have met while she was working in a cafe off the A5 in Cannock, Staffs. The former Top of the Pops presenter apparently made her laugh by ordering six eggs sunny side up and two mugs of tea.
Mrs Ray claims she was seven when Christine told her Sir Jimmy was her father. She tried in vain to contact Sir Jimmy last year.
"Georgina was upset. She just wanted him to acknowledge she was his daughter," the friend added.
"She just thinks everyone has a right to know who their father is."
