Three arrested in UK after 10 year old’s ‘kidnapping’
THREE men have been arrested in the UK on suspicion of kidnap after a missing 10-year-old boy was found uninjured at a housing association property.
West Midlands Police launched an investigation yesterday morning after the boy, from the Oldbury area, was reported missing by a family member when he failed to return home from a visit to local shops.
Police officers and members of the public then searched the area and following a sighting by a neighbour at around 11.30am, the boy was located at a nearby property.
A police spokesman said: "Three men, a 49-year-old, a 30-year-old and a 48-year-old, all from the local area, have been arrested on suspicion of kidnap and are currently being questioned by detectives.
"We are working closely with the family and local community."
