An 18-year-old student said he saved up his wages from McDonald's so he could stand in next month's general election in a bid to become the youngest MP in modern British history.
Luke Wilkins, who celebrated his birthday on March 31, is studying business and politics at college and still lives at home with his parents in Long Eaton, Derbyshire.
He saved up his £4.65-an-hour pay from his job at the fast food restaurant to cover the £500 (€570) deposit needed to stand.
Mr Wilkins is contesting the seat of Erewash in Derbyshire as an independent.
