Storm as Tory MP jets out for 'I'm a Celebrity'

THIS is the British Tory MP Nadine Dorries, who is to appear on 'I'm a Celebrity. . . Get Me Out of Here!' She is now facing questions over her conduct as an MP after she agreed to go on the reality TV show.

Ms Dorries, a frequent critic of Prime Minister David Cameron, signed up to spend up to a month away from her constituency and the Commons without consulting her party.

She has already flown to Australia to prepare for the show, which could earn her up to £40,000 (€50,000) on top of her £65,000-plus MP's salary.

Downing Street declined to comment but Theresa May, the home secretary, said it was the job of MPs to be in their constituency and at the House of Commons.
