Spain's fearsome killer bull is no 'mouse' in the ring

SPAIN's most feared and famous bull, which gored its third victim to death last month, is to appear in the ring again, but this time only professionals will be allowed to face it. Its owner has said this could be its last fight before retirement.
The animal was given the name Raton, meaning mouse, because it was so small when it was born 11 years ago. But the black bull grew into a fearsome 1,100lb (500kg) beast that has thrilled spectators at bullfighting fiestas. It has gored three men to death and seriously injured up to a dozen others in its seven-year career and now has a Wikipedia entry and thousands of Facebook fans.
However, there has been debate over whether to allow the bull to participate in the 'bous al carrer' events, when amateurs try to dodge the horns of bulls in the ring, after the death of a local man in Xativa in eastern Spain a month ago.
But in what might be Raton's last fight, only four of the bravest and most experienced bull dodgers will be allowed to face it. (©Daily Telegraph, London)
