A selfie reportedly taken by the Pope has been deemed a 'holy fake'.
A 'selfie' of the Pontiff was posted to an Instagram account named 'The Vatican' today and received almost 10,000 likes within the first five hours.
Instagram-users described the photo of the grinning Pope as 'awesome'.
But news and tech website Mashable has deemed the photo a 'holy fake' and said the screengrab of the Pope was taken during a video chat earlier this year.
