THE Irish couple who miraculously survived the Bataclan massacre in Paris have gotten engaged.
Survivor Katie Healy made the public announcement on her Twitter page yesterday.
The couple survived the massacre at an Eagles of Death Metal concert last month – with heroic David Nolan taking a bullet to protect Katie.
The Corkman is now back in Ireland where he is continuing to recover from the horrific injuries he sustained.
However the couple look set to end 2015 on a good note, as they prepare to tie the knot.
Louth native Katie took to Twitter to announce the news to her 2,000 followers.
“Have I mentioned David proposed? We're engaged. We're getting married, no big deal. AGH!” she posted.
She later thanked all her well-wishers after she was bombarded with congratulations.
“Thank you SO MUCH for all the well wishes. We are absolutely thrilled”, she wrote.
She previously tweeted her hopes for Christmas:
“For Christmas I want my boyfriends pain to ease & for him to be happy again. He protected me from terrorists, he's quite seriously the BEST.”
89 people were shot dead by gunmen at the Bataclan theatre during last month’s attack.
Dozens of others were seriously injured.
