Model's ex-boyfriend is found guilty of blackmail

AN ex-boyfriend of model Tamara Ecclestone faces jail after he was found guilty of blackmailing the star for £200,000 (€231,000).

Derek Rose (33), who denied the charge, went out with the daughter of Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone in 2002, when she was 17, before changing his name by deed poll from Jonathan Ketterman.

In November 2011, the star received an email claiming Rose had been offered £200,000 to sell his story to the press, despite no newspaper having made such an offer.

The court heard the email was sent to elicit money from Ms Ecclestone (28). Rose, of Arlington Road, Camden, north London, sobbed as the jury delivered a guilty verdict.
