A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after another man was stabbed to death at an internet cafe in broad daylight.

West Midlands Police said they had detained a 39-year-old Birmingham man last night in connection with the incident in Cape Hill, Smethwick, on Saturday afternoon.

A post mortem examination on the 38-year-old man over the weekend revealed he died from a single stab wound. He has not yet been formally identified.

Ambulance crews alerted police shortly after they were called to the incident at about 12.50pm.
