A FRENCH pensioner apparently proved that Friday 13 is a deeply unlucky day after losing out on €8m by switching her usual lottery draw to place the six-number combination she always uses on another.
The woman, in her 60s, normally plays "Super Loto", the national lottery, each week without fail.
However, last Friday, December 13, she decided to go for a bigger prize in the Euromillions draw -- where that week's jackpot was a massive €43m, compared with the French "Super Loto" at only €16m.
So abandoning her faithful draw, she placed her usual lucky numbers on the Euromillions instead, but the numbers 1-6-16-32-41-1 turned out to be the winning combination for the "Super Loto".
Thinking she had won, the woman fainted. However, when she came round, it dawned on her that she had the numbers for the wrong lottery. Someone that same night did pick the winning numbers for the "Super Loto".
